Yes! In your Account page, just turn off all the steps you want to skip. You have complete control over the verse by verse experience.

Will I always have to parse the same words over and over again?

No! In your Account page, you can set the threshold of how many times you need to parse different word types. Once you have correctly parsed a particular word that many times you can turn on auto-complete for that word.
